Commemorative ornament of silver representing a crane with two small minogame (hair tailed turtles) at its feet. Inscription in Japanese translates as: Meiji Era, 27th year, 3rd month, 9th day. 19th century, Japan. D base: 5.00 cm. H < 11.00 cm. Acquired: Nice, France.

Note: The 27th year of the Meiji era corresponds to 1894.
